Happy to have you join us Vincent, I'm glad hear you enjoyed it. I hope you liked enough to come back and play a full game some time.

Perhaps we should also thank you for the event as well since you were the main reason for it happening in the first place? :good:

Heh, I never bothered to translate it.... but now you mention it...

I am glad that it has been fun.
Normally I can get away with my bad German with these English fools.

Thanks for the positive comments chaps :good: . As a side note, it was also meant to give a taste of what Operation Jedburgh would have been (and will be) like - for both sides, ie, lots of sneaking and tension. Hopefully, we gave a taste that "defending" doesn't equate to "boredom" or "sitting on your ass". :good:

I dont think observing is boring, its actually quite intense wondering whether you've been seen or not etc!

Yes it gives you quite a buzz knowing you can see everything they're doing and they have no idea you're there.

Yes, I think more airsoft events should be of the kind that involves long periods of pretending to be a shrubbery. Running about is soooo overrated.

Couldn't agree more. The weapons should be viewed as tools, not the be all and end all, to be used alongside cunning and quick thinking. I mentioned on sunday about getting it into peoples' heads about a certain mindset and to try to think more like soldiers in a war, rather than airsofters out for a blat. It was taken on board as well, which I was very happy about!

That's exactly how I spotted Kieth on the recce exercise. As he held up his binos I could see his very white hands!
